I have been interested in hotrods for many years. About 15 years ago I joined the
Street Masters Car Club in Athens, Georgia. I started to DJ the club’s cruises the
following year. Other clubs started asking if I would DJ their shows and the rest is
history. I am hired by various clubs and organizations throughout the southeast to DJ
car shows and cruise-ins from March through December. Some of those clubs book me
for the following year before I leave the current event. Most of my business comes to
me by word of mouth. I live in Winterville, Georgia with my wife, Sharon, and my son,
Jamie.
Darrell worked for me in the late 70's spinning 45s at a skating rink. We've remained
friends over the years. When I started doing shows, he often rode along to help out. In
2001, I asked Darrell if he would like to go out on his own and start doing some of the
shows I was having to turn down. He now has his own regular events. Darrell is also a
member of the Street Masters Car Club. He lives in Colbert, Georgia with his wife,
Anna Marie, and sons, Ryan and Tyler.
We play a variety of music from the 50’s through the early 70’s only. We regularly announce the information provided by
the organizer such as door prize numbers, food vending, sponsors, games and judging schedules, without excessive
chatter. We also periodically announce upcoming car shows and cruises. We will announce your awards or let you have
the microphone to do your own. We strive to engage the participants and help them have a good time at your event. We
provide our own sound equipment and music, all you supply is a power source within 75 feet of our set up.
